1. Where will the driver drop off my delivery?
Our driver will default to delivering your order to the front of your house or delivery location, at curbside. If you wish to make special requests, note this may delay the arrival of your order while we review your request, and we cannot guarantee all requests can be accommodated. You may however reach out to our depot team at orders@wastecontrolservices.com with driver instructions for your ‘special delivery request’ - If we cannot accommodate your request, please indicate whether you prefer we a) delay the delivery while we get in touch with you to arrange or b) default to delivering to the front of the house at curbside.
2. Do I need to be home to receive my delivery?
No, to ensure you receive your order without delay, our driver will default to delivering your order (as long as accessible and deemed safe) whether you are present for the delivery or not. Should you wish to be onsite the day of your delivery, please be prepared to be receive an estimate time window of arrival, as we unfortunately cannot predict the exact time of our driver’s arrival (due to other deliveries/unpredictable durations of stops).
3. Can I request a heads up when my order is on the way?
Yes, you can request in advance a call-ahead, text-ahead, or email-ahead, when our driver is about 30 mins away if you wish to be notified and receive a heads up when our driver is on the way (we cannot guarantee but our team will do our best).
4. How far in from curbside can you deliver bagged soil?
Our miniature crane truck has a maximum reach of 10 feet (from the centre of the crane’s shaft, reaching into curbside to drop off the bags).
5. Can your driver park on my driveway instead of at curbside?
We default to parking at curbside and delivering to curbside only, to avoid any potential risk of damaging our customers’ driveways as most residential driveways are not built to withstand the weight of a commercial vehicle, let alone one that is loaded up with heavy soil products.
If you wish to have us park on your property (e.g. on your driveway instead of on the main road at curbside) we may ask you to sign a waiver form that acknowledges you understand the risks involved in requesting we drive onto your property for the delivery. Special delivery requests are subject to the driver’s discretion who will assess whether the request is safe and can be accommodated.
6. Can your driver crane the soil bags over a fence?
In certain cases, if a standard height residential fence (4-6 feet) is close enough to the curbside for the driver’s miniature crane to reach over safely, this may be able to be accommodate, however not all special requests will be deemed safe to accommodate. The driver will use their best judgement to determine which requests are safe to proceed with in order to ensure safe delivery and minimization property damage risk. We may ask you to sign a waiver form that outlines the understanding of inherent risks that come with deliveries.
7. Do you offer refunds on deliveries?
We kindly ask that customers read the information available prior to ordering for pickup, to avoid the need for refunds. In order to offer fair and competitive pricing, we have slim margins and a cost to operate, and send a truck and driver your way. Should there be a problem with your order, our team will do our very best to find a solution that works for everyone.
